Do you ever wonder if you are ever ready for what it takes to truly make a relationship work? I used to tell myself I was, but as I’ve gotten older I’ve realized that I am back and forth on it. It’s not easy, it’s give and take, there are also a lot of compromises that have to happen between the two people.
With today’s technology, political climate, and differences there are issues that are bound to arise between two people, but are those things the end all of it or the never gonna work things out? I don’t want to think that political differences can make two people no longer love each other, and also maybe never give two people a fighting chance.
What are other things that can make someone not ready for a relationship? Past mistakes? I often worry that I am doing that, but then again I see the truth when I see how different each past love has been. I mean truly different! I can see each one as a major stepping stone for who I am, and where I am in my life.
The baseball player wasn’t going to work because he couldn’t keep it in his pants. The other guy hated working, but loved my money. The most recent one, well that one was the hardest to read, it’s like he’s happy one minute, then just flippant the next. The last one has been my greatest challenge and really the happiest I had ever been, it’s funny.
Now, if you think about it, are you truly ready for a real relationship? The ups and downs, the good and bad? I mean I know it’s not easy, but it’s possible for two people who are polar opposites to make a good solid life, right? Do they have to be together 24/7, 365?? You tell me because I’m good with having my own space, I don’t mind the loneliness, sometimes he’s my best friend.
What about you? Let me know.
Totally Agree 😊
