Does anyone ever acknowledge that as we get older our mindset changes? Like what we once thought as must haves, years later we see it’s not really necessary.
I ask this because I realize as I get older (insert joke here) I don’t want the same things as I once did when I was 28 years old. I’m much more focused on fighting for a chance to have a good life, positive outlook, and faithfulness to God. Being 38, getting closer to my 40’s I realize that I’d rather be happy within myself than with anyone.
Do you ever take time away from your everyday life to just focus on you? Focus on what makes you happy, gives your joy, makes you get excited for a new adventure or opportunity? I know I do, but I’m just hopeful to get some sleep, lol!
I think now anymore for myself, I just want to be happy. If meeting someone, falling in love with him is what’s natural then great, but if meeting someone and establishing a solid connection and life together, do we have to move in with each other? I don’t think so, but again I change my mind like the water changes when the tide comes in.
Let me know what you think. Does the ideas of conventional relationships change as we get older? I think they do, but trying to go along with it sometimes scares people.
Let me know what you think.
